Voice, Brass, Strings, Woodwinds

Peace Music Camp is broken into three sections:
Beginner Voice- Young or inexperienced
singers who may or may not have had any previous lessons, who enjoy singing and
wish to learn some basics of vocal technique and performance qualities.
Advanced Voice- Mature
singers (high school or older) that have learned some basics. This class will
focus on solo singing with an emphasis on audition performance and preparation.
Instrumental Camp- is designed for any beginning-level student
or adult with at least two years of playing experience. This class offers
musicians the opportunity to play together with others, and includes youth and
adults.

The
Peace Music Camp is a one-week day camp for all ages at the beginning level and
beyond.
The musicians and singers will rehearse separately and together under
professional music coaches. The Advanced Voice class will work in a Master Class
environment where each student has multiple chances to work on their own solo
singing and to watch other students, just like a conservatory setting. Each
instrumental musician should have at least two years of experience on their
instrument, whether recently or long ago.
On
Friday afternoon the musicians and singers will perform in the local community
as a service project sharing their musical gifts.
The focus of the week will be arrangements of some hymn tunes and may include
familiar classical music by Handel, Mozart and Beethoven. We will be singing
folk songs and also Broadway songs.
