Jen
Bara Jen directs the Youth, Cherub,
and Handbell Choirs as well as the New Spirit Ensemble. Jen grew up as an
active musical participant in church and school, playing piano, singing,
and acting. Jen has been teaching piano and voice to children, teens, and
adults since 1993. Until the birth of her second child, she sang with Vox
the Renaissance Consort and the Ama Deus Ensemble in the Philadelphia
area. Jen came to Peace Church almost 16 years ago after graduating with a
BA in Theatre and a music minor from DeSales University. When she started
here, there was no Handbell Choir or New Spirit Ensemble. She began the
Handbell Choir and eventually took over the New Spirit Ensemble. Besides
directing the music for the New Spirit Services, she helps to coordinate
the readings, skits and prayers for each of those services. In addition to
the choirs, she also directs the Christmas and Spring Musicals. Jen also
sings in the Senior Choir as the Soprano section leader, and occasionally
sings solos in church. Along with her husband Ed, Jen helps
